From playing ‘Monisha Sarabhai’ in the sitcom ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ to trying out the character of ‘Anupamaa’ in the daily soap opera ‘Anupamaa’, actress Rupali Ganguly has done a truly commendable job in television.
According to a report by bollywood life, Rupali is now the highest paid television actress. The actress who initially earned Rs 1.5 lakh per day now earns Rs 3 lakh which is double the amount considering she is a senior actress. She beat popular TV actors such as Ram Kapoor and Ronit Bose Roy.
Ganguly also played the character Dr. Simran Chopra in the Star Plus series ‘Sanjivani’ and later became a contestant on the reality show, Big Boss, in 2006.
In an interview with IANS, Rupali said she is obligated to the love she receives from her viewers.
She said: “I just want to say that people continue to spread their love. I’m so happy and all credit for this track or anything would go to the creators, writers and director of the show. As as an actor i just am a mere puppet with years of experience i probably want to give the writers a bit more about what they wrote only then i go home happy at heart but all credit It certainly comes down to the main man, Rajan Shahi and his fantastic team.”
Rupali in the series has been portrayed as a perfect housewife and mother, but the running track presents her as an independent woman.
Produced by Rajan Shahi and his mother Deepa Shahi under their Shahi Productions Pvt Ltd banner, “Anupamaa” features Sudhanshu Pandey, Rupali Ganguly, Gaurav Khanna, Aneri Vajani, Madalsa Sharma, Alpana Buch, Arvind Vaidya, Paras Kalnawat, Aashish Mehrotra, Muskan Bamne , Shekhar Shukla, Nidhi Shah, Anagha Bhosale and Tassnim Sheikh. The show airs on Star Plus.
