With the recent notification of exam dates, there has been a lot of talk about the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The common test for admission to undergraduate and graduate programs in all central universities in India will take place in July and August.
This examination will assess the candidate’s common aptitude and common specialist knowledge in the sciences, humanities, languages, arts and professional studies. The recently introduced Unified Examination by the Ministry of Education (MoE) is a step towards realizing a “one India, one exam” vision and aims to fulfill the dream of every student who aspires to gain admission into 45 universities centers in India.
It will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA), an entity that organizes the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET).
Here are some tips for passing this exam the first time.
CHECK THE SYLLABUS CORRECTLY
First, download the CUET program and understand it properly. It is a roadmap to start preparing and passing the exam. Stick to the schedule and plan your study time accordingly.
CHECK THE COLLEGE YOU WANT TO APPLY
Before starting the preparation, check the colleges and courses you want to gain admission to. Also, understand the previous year’s cut scores. This is an important step that will help you assess how much you need to score on the CUET exam to get into your desired college.
READ THE DAILY NEWSPAPER
To pass the CUET exams, read the newspaper every day. It will help you keep up to date with current events and prepare for the language test. Reading newspapers will help you improve your vocabulary, grammar and reading comprehension. Pay particular attention to the editorial page of the newspaper.
TEST READINESS LEVEL
Try to solve tests, try multiple choice questions, work on concepts and write questions to prepare for the final exam. It will help you increase your speed and frame the answers to achieve good results in the main exam. It will also help you recognize your strengths and weaknesses.
PLAN YOUR ROUTINE
Break your program into small segments and focus on one segment at a time. Planning your routine can help you cover the schedule much faster and better. Also schedule time to review topics you have already studied.
CHOOSE topics wisely
Pick the topics that interest you and that you trust the most. Studying them will not be a chore. It is always better to work on your strengths to get more points in the exam.
WELL-VERSED AT ALL SUBJECTS
Here are some basic strategies that can help you prepare for the CUET exam. You can choose to add them to your routine or plan your schedule around your study style.
If you are familiar with all the topics of the syllabus and have reviewed each of them correctly, you don’t have to worry about the upcoming exam. Try to focus on NCERT books when preparing for exams. Stay in a positive frame of mind. Take care of your health and fitness. Study hard, practice well and be confident.
