MOONLIGHT MORRIS is a semi-acoustic band consisting of original songs arranged in melodic partial harmonies, performed by singers WENDY MORRIS, GINNY T and LISA BLOOMFIELD, accompanied by the beautiful guitar styles of PAUL LEFT. The songs, written by Wendy Morris, have memorable tunes, relatable stories, and catchy lyrics that people can easily sing along to. A comfortable blend of singer-songwriter, indie and pop music styles, MOONLIGHT MORRIS’ songs are uplifting and emotionally provoking.
Inside Out Open Mic is an open mic for writers with great guest musicians every time. Leave since 2012. BRING STORIES, POEMS, etc. The writing comes to life when read aloud. Meet other writers and music lovers in the community.
NEW VENUE: July is our first gig in the Nix, the ultra-modern space located on the corner of Nixon and Chapman Sts, and just a two-minute walk from the Karangahape Rd and Great North Rd intersection. Just walk in directly in the street. Look for the yellow balloons and the yellow OC sign. It is a generous space with alcoves, sofas, a kitchen, etc. Street parking after 6 p.m. is easy to find and free.
Coffee/tea/munchies and snacks are complimentary. You are welcome to bring a light meal, a bottle of wine, etc. with you.
