Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the construction of the All India Federation of Master Printers building at IMT Manesar, Gurugram.
This building will be constructed on an area of approximately 1,400 square meters in Sector 2, Manesar. Speaking on this occasion, the CM said that it is impossible to imagine publishing newspapers, books, etc. without printing platform. He said the printing press has a 30,000 year old history.
Khattar said the importance of printing has not diminished over the years. He said that the Federation of Indian Master Printers was established 70 years ago and since then there have been many changes in printing techniques.
He said that a writer conveys his ideas to people through his writings. However, writing and editing have been replaced by digital platforms, but there is a need to develop both platforms together.
Sharing his life experiences, the CM said that he learned the job of printing during his school years. He said print courses are currently being conducted at five universities in Haryana. He said he was happy that the Association chose Haryana to construct their building.
