NBHS Congratulates Top Three Class of 2022 Students

Congratulations to our top three North Branford High School (NBHS) Class of 2022 students! Valedictorian Regan Leete will attend Lehigh University in Bethlehem PA, majoring in engineering. Classroom essayist Braeden LeBeau will attend Providence College in Providence RI, majoring in child psychology. Salutatorian Taylor Levine will attend the University of Connecticut at Storrs, studying English as part of a pre-law major. More information about each student appears below.

All have been outstanding citizens and accomplished young adults in and beyond the classrooms of NBHS. The top three students in the NBHS Class of 2022 will be recognized at the NBHS graduation ceremony on June 15. Valedictorian Regan Leete will also deliver a speech at the graduation ceremony.

Regan Leete, Valedictorian

Regan Leete is a very accomplished and involved senior at North Branford High School. Regan is currently taking several challenging courses including AP Calculus, AP Spanish, Physics Honors and UCONN ECE Seminar in Writing. His resume includes several AP courses and honors-level courses, including AP Language and Composition, AP US Government. Regan has also successfully completed several Lead the Way pre-engineering courses and wants to pursue a STEM-related career. Regan is a member of the National Honor Society, co-president of the Spanish Honor Society, and a high-achieving college athlete. Regan is a distance runner for the NBHS Cross Country team and the NBHS Indoor and Outdoor Track teams, a captain for both programs. She is a member of the NBHS Kaleidoscope literary magazine and a member of the NBHS Dream Team. As a member of the Dream Team, she worked with elementary and middle school students during the school day and also volunteered at elementary schools in the district after school at various events. Regan is an engaged student and model citizen who approaches life with humility.

Taylor Levine, Salutatorian

Taylor is a high achieving and involved senior at North Branford High School. Taylor is currently taking several challenging courses including AP Calculus, AP Spanish, AP Biology, and UCONN ECE Protest. His resume includes several AP and Honors level courses, including AP Language and Composition, AP Psychology, and AP US Government. Taylor is a member of the National Honor Society and secretary of the Spanish Honor Society. She is secretary for the class of 2022 and editor of the NBHS literary magazine Kaleidoscope. Taylor is an accomplished musician, member of the NBHS Wind Ensemble. As an accomplished athlete and performer, Taylor’s accomplishments extend beyond the NBHS campus. She is a competitive dancer who has competed internationally. As a member of the USA Tap Dance Team, she traveled to Germany to compete in the World Tap Dance Championships. Taylor has worked with younger students while volunteering at the Kids for Kids Ambassador program and at local dance studios. Taylor is a very bright and kind student who is a model citizen on and beyond the NBHS campus.

Braeden LeBeau, class essayist

Braeden is a very accomplished and involved senior at NBHS. Braeden is currently taking several challenging courses including: AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP Spanish and UCONN ECE Seminar in Writing. Braeden is President of the National Honor Society and Vice President of the Spanish National Honor Society. As President of the National Honor Society, she works closely with officers and the academic advisor for many school events. She captains three varsity sports at North Branford High, including the CIAC State Championship field hockey team, basketball team, and lacrosse team. As a basketball player, Braeden is a 1000 point career scorer and is a member of several NBHS clubs including: the Global/Diversity Club, GSA, Environmental Club, Sign Language Club and Kaleidoscope. She has volunteered at several community events and worked with the North Branford Youth Field Hockey Program. Braeden is a model citizen at NBHS and carries herself with quiet, assured confidence throughout the community on and off campus.
