SPRING MILLS — Keyshaun Cheek scored 25 points as he led Spring Mills to a 63-45 win over Martinsburg on Friday night in the Eastern Panhandle Athletic League game.
It was the first win in school history against Martinsburg for Spring Mills, which went 2-0 in the league.
Martinsburg put three players in double figures as they fell to 4-4.
K’Marion Dowe and Luke Fowler scored 12 points each and Avion Blackwood added 11.

CHARLES TOWN — Visiting Greenbrier East poured it over Washington in a runaway victory.
The Spartans will visit an undefeated Jefferson today.

BERKELEY SPRINGS — Berkeley Springs have fallen for the third time in 10 games.
Gavin Barkley scored 17 points and Ty’Mir Ross 14 for the Indians, who were outscored 12-9 in the final period.

Musselman 45, Hedgesville 25
HEDGESVILLE – Musselman used a 17-2 third quarter to pass Hedgesville and move to 4-8.
Musselman led 19-15 at halftime before his third-quarter outburst.
Elena Funkhouser led the way for Musselman with eight points. Hedgesville (2-7) was led by Ziahya Lomax with eight points.

Robinson honored
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Shepherd’s graduate student defensive lineman Ricky Robinson has been named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s Fall Top Ten, as the league office announced Friday. .
The winners are chosen by the PSAC Sports Information Directors.
The PSAC Top 10 Awards are designed to recognize student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and in athletic competition.
Robinson joins former teammate Deonte Glover as the only Shepherd student-athletes to earn the honor.
Robinson, who recently earned first-team U.S. academic honors for the third straight year, has a 3.88 GPA in a business administration major in his undergraduate courses and enjoys a GPA of 4.00 in his MBA courses.
A PSAC East second-team selection, Robinson recorded 45 tackles (27 solos) as he helped lead the Rams to a 13-2 mark and a national semifinal appearance this season. He added a sack (-11 yards), a pair of quarterback dispatches and a blocked kick.
To be a candidate for the PSAC Top 10 Awards, a student-athlete must have achieved at least a 3.50 GPA and must be a starter or key reserve with legitimate athletic credentials for their respective team. Fall sports eligible for Fall Top 10 awards are Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Field Hockey, Football, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, and Women’s Volleyball.
At the end of the school year, all Top 10 award winners from each season are eligible for the PSAC Pete Nevins Athlete of the Year Awards, given to one male nominee and one female nominee.

Miller honored
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Graduate student pitcher Adam Miller of the Shepherd baseball team is an honorable mention for the National Baseball Collegiate Baseball Writers Association’s Atlantic Region preseason team.
Miller, a 2021 All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East first-team pick, went 4-2 with one save in 10 appearances. He stoked 25 and walked just three in 19 2/3 innings. He added a 3.66 ERA.
Shepherd posted a 22-14-1 overall rating with an 18-12-1 record in PSAC East play in 2021.
The Rams open the 2022 season on Feb. 4 when they travel to UNC Pembroke.

Charles Town postponed
CHARLES TOWN – The Hollywood Casino in Charles Town postponed racing for a second consecutive night on Friday due to winter weather.
The track is due to resume racing at 7 p.m. tonight.
