Interested entities must submit their project using the Letter of intent template seen at the bottom of this article. Award winners will also receive expert assistance to guide them through the lead research and grant writing process.

What to expect this year:

The conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel in Jacksonville, Florida. Additionally, this year commemorates the 55th anniversary of the Jacksonville Sister Cities Association (JSCA) and marks the bicentennial celebration of the City of Jacksonville.

Visiting delegates will also have the opportunity to engage with Sister City programs throughout the Southeast region, SCI best practice leaders, and business entities. The conference events will provide a forum to promote goodwill and harmonious exchanges among attendees.

The theme of the conference is “Empower, Enhance, Engage: Building Bridges for the Future”. In addition, global representatives from sister cities, international business leaders, as well as trade and government officials will be present. The 17 states of the Southeast region of the United States and their international partners will join in this process of transformation.

Taking place during July 19 -22, 2022, this four-day event will feature guest speakers, panelists and workshops. Additionally, topics will include:

Overview of the agenda:

  • tuesday july 19 – Registration, exhibitor/supplier installation and welcome reception
  • Wednesday July 20 – Grant Workshops, Diversity/Inclusion and International Gala featuring Paris Winninghamfinalist of The voice
  • Thursday July 21 – Workshops on global opportunities, Cape Town Africa Summit 2023 and member development strategies
  • friday july 22 – Historical visits and commercial and technical Matchmaking

Registration fees

  • Early bird registration until June 10: $250
  • Regular registration June 11July 14th: $300
  • Registration on site: $400
  • As well as the registration of young people: $250

Overall, registration includes access to 12 sessions, ground transportation from hotel to program venues, reception, two lunches, and an international gala. The conference suggests a minimum of three participants, one of whom is between the ages of 13 and 18. Individual sessions are $75lunches are $60the gala is $100and the 8-foot exhibitor/table space is $150.
